Behavioural Adaptation:
- This plant can grow in semi-shade as it had to adapt because many other plants and trees are much larger than this one.
Structural and Physiological Adaptation:
- These ferns have a trunk that is composed of decaying remains from previous plant growth. It is also through this trunk that the roots grow. The adaptation of the trunk is the plant moving high off the floor so it does not get trampled on by animals and it can dominate over other plants.
